Sebastian Robles was born in Edmonton, and began playing classical guitar with his father at age four. Sebastian has since had the privilege of studying with guitarists Carl Lotsberg, Murray Visscher, Daniel Bolshoy, and currently Judicael Perroy.

Sebastian has performed throughout Alberta and California as a soloist as well as in his collaborative guitar duo with Joshua Shi, Bluvenduo. In addition to his interpretive endeavors, Sebastian has written and performed several of his own compositions for solo guitar, guitar duo, and other various chamber group instrumentations. Sebastian has extensive experience singing as a bass in choral, chamber, and solo settings, having been a member of two choirs in San Francisco: Mouthscape Choir and St. Dominic’s Schola Cantorum as well in Paris: Choeur de Grenelle and Schola Ste. Cécile.

Sebastian has written, recorded, and produced three progressive rock albums - the latest of which is "Live or Let Leave" (2021). They are musical scrapbooks, recounting stories and experiences via word and song.

Sebastian is the winner of the Guitar Foundation of America International Youth Competition (Miami, 2019) and the Northwest Guitar Festival Competition (Seattle, 2019).

Sebastian’s studies in Geneva are generously supported by the Winspear Fund.
